I first did the in-place Win10 upgrade & tried Avast One Essential for a couple days b4 upgrading to Premium(free trial ofc). I only upgraded to Windows 10 bc of all the dif't supports ending last wk, like many I'm sure asking these same questions rn. I had been using Avast Free w/ Windows 8.1 on an old laptop for years prior, w/ no known issues besides the ever-annoying scare-ware. TLDR: Smooth/light more results/solutions yet still user-friendly! **Update edit: I tried both during the week & I'm sticking w- Kaspersky (Premium Free Trial). but I now know the scandal & it's been clunky & addy so. I don't see that w- other top free AVs and I've been using Avast basic free for years so I'm leaning towards them. AOE free has a firewall plus 5gigs/wk VPN over Kaspersky. ((For Windows PC)) I tried not to post so just know that I've actually been reading in this sub & several dif't tech sites all day, but still can't pull the trigger on 1 of these 2(OCD's much worse these days, COVID/pandy turned me into fkng Chidi Anagonye).
